Trinity Sunday Bible Verses & Readings (KJV)
Trinity Sunday is the only feast in the calendar that celebrates a doctrine rather than an event. Below are the King James readings, the verses that carry the doctrine, and a plain explanation you can read aloud.
The Trinity Sunday readings
Isaiah 6:1-8 — holy, holy, holy, and "who will go for us?" John 3:1-17 — born of the Spirit, sent by the Father, believing in the Son. Romans 8:12-17 — the Spirit of adoption crying Abba. Matthew 28:16-20 — baptising in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
The word Trinity is not in Scripture. The pattern is, on nearly every page of the New Testament.

Explaining the Trinity plainly
One God, three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Not three gods, and not one person wearing three masks. The baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3 shows all three at once: the Son in the water, the Spirit descending, the Father speaking from heaven.
Most illustrations (water, the egg, the shamrock) break down under pressure. It is safer to read the texts than to explain them away — begin with Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, and 2 Corinthians 13:14.
