Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14)
The breastplate of righteousness guards the heart with Christ's righteousness imputed to faith and lived out in obedience.
The Roman breastplate covered the vital organs — especially the heart. Paul borrows from Isaiah 59:17, where the LORD Himself puts on righteousness as a breastplate.
