Strongholds and Deliverance
Strongholds are entrenched patterns of thinking that resist the knowledge of God — and Christ has given us weapons to pull them down.
Paul writes that 'the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God' (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). A stronghold is anything in our thinking that resists Christ — a lie, an addiction, a wound, an idol. The battlefield is largely the mind.
