The Widow's Mite: Sunday School Lesson
Mark 12:41–44
Print this page straight from your browser — the story, memory verse, discussion questions and craft all fit on one sheet.
Big Idea
God measures gifts by what is left behind, not by what is put in.
Story Summary
Jesus sat over against the treasury and watched how people cast money in. Many rich people threw in much. Then a poor widow came and put in two mites — the smallest coins there were. Jesus called His disciples and said she had cast in more than all of them, because she gave all she had.
Memory Verse (KJV)
“She of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.”
Mark 12:44
