Big Idea
The risen Christ is found all the way through the Scriptures.
Story Summary
On resurrection day two disciples walked to Emmaus talking sadly about all that had happened. Jesus joined them, but their eyes were holden. Beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded the Scriptures about Himself. At supper He broke bread — and they knew Him, and He vanished out of their sight.
Memory Verse (KJV)
“Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?”
Luke 24:32
