    Story Summary

    Saul was breathing out threatenings against the disciples when a light from heaven shone round about him on the road to Damascus. He fell to the earth and heard, 'Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?' Blinded for three days, he was sent to Ananias, received his sight, and straightway preached Christ in the synagogues.

    Discussion Questions

    1. What was Saul on his way to Damascus to do?
    2. Whom did Jesus say Saul was persecuting?

    Craft Idea: Bright-Light Scratch Picture

    Supplies

    • Card covered in wax crayon then black paint or crayon
    • Wooden sticks or paper clips
    • Paper towels
    • Markers

    Steps

    1. Scratch a burst of light out of the dark surface.
    2. Scratch a small figure fallen on the road beneath it.
    3. Write Acts 9:6 along the edge.
    4. Tell the class about one thing they would ask the Lord.

    2. Story (10 min): Tell the story summary in your own words; open a KJV to Acts 9:1–22.
    3. Discussion (10 min): Walk through the questions above. Let every child answer at least once.
    4. Craft (15 min): Make the bright-light scratch picture.
    5. Wrap-up (5 min): Hand out the worksheet to finish at home and recite the memory verse one last time.
