Big Idea
Jesus is the Saviour God promised — born for everyone, from shepherds to kings.
Story Summary
Caesar's decree sent Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, where there was no room in the inn. There Jesus — the Saviour, Christ the Lord — was born and laid in a manger. An angel told shepherds in the fields the good news, a host of angels praised God, and later wise men followed a star to worship the new King.

- Why was Jesus born in a stable instead of a palace?
- Who were the first people to hear about Jesus' birth? Why is that surprising?
Teacher hint: Shepherds — they were poor and overlooked, but God told them first.
- What does the word 'Saviour' mean?
Teacher hint: Someone who rescues. Jesus rescues us from our sins.
- What gifts did the wise men bring, and what do they teach us about Jesus?
Teacher hint: Gold (King), frankincense (God), myrrh (His death for us).
- What gift can you give Jesus this week?
Craft Idea: Stable Star Ornament
Supplies
- Yellow card stock or craft foam stars
- Yarn or ribbon (for hanging)
- Glitter glue or markers
- A Luke 2:11 label
- Hole punch
Steps
- Cut a star shape from yellow card stock (or use a pre-cut foam star).
- Decorate with glitter glue, markers, or gold pen.
- Glue the Luke 2:11 label to the back.
- Punch a hole and thread yarn — hang it where the child sleeps as a Christmas reminder.
