    God's supply stops only when we stop bringing Him empty vessels.

    Story Summary

    A widow cried out to Elisha: her husband had died and the creditor was coming to take her two sons. All she had in the house was one pot of oil. Elisha told her to borrow empty vessels from all her neighbours — not a few — and pour. The oil kept flowing until every last jar was full.

    Discussion Questions

    1. What did the widow already have in her house?
    2. Why did Elisha tell her to borrow 'not a few' vessels?
    3. When did the oil stop flowing?

      Teacher hint: When there was not a vessel more (2 Kgs 4:6).

    Craft Idea: Row of Filling Jars

    Supplies

    • Paper
    • Yellow crayons or paint
    • Jar template or free-hand drawing
    • Markers

    Steps

    1. Draw or trace a row of jars across the page.
    2. Colour each one full of golden oil.
    3. Write 2 Kings 4:7 underneath.
    4. Leave one jar blank and write a prayer request inside it.

    1. Welcome (5 min): Pray, then read the memory verse aloud three times together.
    2. Story (10 min): Tell the story summary in your own words; open a KJV to 2 Kings 4:1–7.
    3. Discussion (10 min): Walk through the questions above. Let every child answer at least once.
    4. Craft (15 min): Make the row of filling jars.
    5. Wrap-up (5 min): Hand out the worksheet to finish at home and recite the memory verse one last time.
