What the Bible says about heaven
Scripture describes heaven with restraint and confidence. Jesus promises a prepared place in His Father's house (John 14:2-3). Revelation 21 pictures a city where God dwells with men and 'shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying'. The KJV's emphasis falls less on architecture than on the removal of everything that spoils life and the presence of God Himself.
