Moses' Rod Becomes a Serpent
The Lord turns Moses' shepherd's staff into a serpent and back again as a sign of His power.
When Moses doubted that Israel would believe him, the Lord told him to cast his rod on the ground. It became a serpent, and Moses fled from it. The Lord told him to take it by the tail, and it became a rod in his hand. Later, before Pharaoh, Aaron's rod swallowed up the serpents of the Egyptian magicians.
