The Burning Bush
God appears to Moses in a bush that burns yet is not consumed, calling him to deliver Israel.
While Moses kept the flock of Jethro at Mount Horeb, the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. The bush burned with fire, yet was not consumed. From the flame God spoke His name — I AM THAT I AM — and commissioned Moses to lead Israel out of Egypt.
