What does the Bible say about eternal rewards?

The Bible teaches that while salvation is a free gift, God also promises rewards to those who serve Him faithfully. These eternal rewards — described as crowns, treasures, and inheritance — motivate believers to live with an eternal perspective. Key King James Version passages include Matthew 6:19-20, 1 Corinthians 3:14, Revelation 22:12. This page collects 10 KJV verses about eternal rewards, each quoted in full.

What are the crowns mentioned in the Bible?

Scripture mentions several crowns: the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8), the crown of life (James 1:12), the crown of glory (1 Peter 5:4), and the incorruptible crown (1 Corinthians 9:25). These represent different aspects of God's rewards for faithful living.

Are eternal rewards different from salvation?

Yes. Salvation is a free gift of grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). Eternal rewards are given based on faithful service and stewardship (1 Corinthians 3:14). All believers are saved, but rewards vary based on faithfulness.
