Put a daily KJV verse on your Notion dashboard
Notion renders external pages through its embed block, so the widget slots straight into a devotional dashboard, a study template or a small-group hub.
What it looks like
Live preview of the daily verse in the paper theme. Light and dark themes are available in the builder.
The URL to paste into Notion
https://www.biblesundays.com/embed/verse?mode=daily&theme=paper&via=widget
Goes into an /embed block on any Notion page.
How to add a Bible verse to Notion
- 1
Copy the widget URL
Instead of the full iframe, copy just the widget URL — for example https://www.biblesundays.com/embed/verse?mode=daily&theme=paper
- 2
Create an embed block
In your Notion page type /embed and press Enter.
- 3
Paste the URL
Paste the widget URL into the 'Embed link' box and click Embed link.
- 4
Resize
Drag the bottom edge of the block until the verse fits neatly, then move the block wherever you like.
Notion specifics worth knowing
- Notion needs the plain URL, not the <iframe> tag — the iframe markup will just be shown as text.
- Use the paper theme on a light Notion workspace and the dark theme if your workspace uses dark mode.
- Embeds work in shared public Notion pages too, so the verse appears for everyone you share the page with.

Notion widget questions
Does the Notion embed work on mobile?
Yes. The Notion mobile apps render embed blocks, and the widget is responsive down to narrow phone widths.
Can I use it in a Notion template I sell or share?
Yes. The widget and the King James Version text are free to redistribute. Just keep the 'biblesundays.com' link that comes with the embed code — it is what keeps the widget free.
Why is my embed showing a blank area?
Make sure you pasted the /embed/verse URL, not the iframe HTML, and give the block at least 240 pixels of height.
