Large print multiplies page count. A complete KJV at 150% scale runs past 1,800 sheets, which almost nobody will print. The New Testament is about 23% of the Bible by word count, so the same settings produce a stack you can actually bind and carry. There is a second reason. For new believers, hospital patients, prison ministry, and outreach, the New Testament is usually the right starting text anyway. Handing someone a readable Gospel of John is more useful than handing them a Bible they cannot lift or read. This is also why pocket New Testaments have been printed and distributed for over a century while pocket complete Bibles are rare. The New Testament is the portable unit.
Download the complete KJV PDF and open it in any reader. Scroll to Matthew chapter 1 and note the PDF page number shown in your reader's toolbar — this is the printed page number, not the Bible page number. Then scroll to the last page of Revelation and note that number too. In the Print dialog, enter that range under 'Pages' (for example 780-1039, though your exact numbers depend on the reader). Set Custom Scale to 150%, and choose 'Fit to Printable Area' so nothing is clipped at the margins. If you only want a section, the natural divisions are: the four Gospels (Matthew through John), Acts on its own, Paul's letters (Romans through Philemon), the general epistles (Hebrews through Jude), and Revelation. Printing the Gospels alone at 160% is a common choice for gift copies.
Three options work well, in ascending order of effort. A standard three-ring binder is the cheapest and lets you add or replace sections. It also lies completely flat, which matters for readers who cannot hold a book open with one hand. Spiral or comb binding at a copy shop costs a few dollars, produces something that looks like a real book, and also lies flat. Most print shops will do this while you wait. A simple report cover with a slide binder works for a single Gospel or a short epistle and is the lightest option for hospital or care-home use, where weight genuinely matters. Whichever you choose, print single-sided at large scale. Heavy ink coverage on 20 lb paper shows through and cuts the contrast that large print is supposed to provide.
The 27 books fall into five groups. The four Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — each tell the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus from a distinct angle. Acts records the first three decades of the church. Thirteen letters carry Paul's name, running from Romans through Philemon and addressing churches he planted and individuals he trained. Hebrews and the seven general epistles — James, 1 and 2 Peter, 1 to 3 John, and Jude — address the wider church. Revelation closes the canon with John's apocalyptic vision from Patmos. In the KJV the New Testament runs to roughly 180,000 words across 260 chapters, which is why it prints so much more manageably than the Old Testament's 610,000.

At 150% scale on Letter or A4, the KJV New Testament comes to roughly 400-450 single-sided sheets. That is about a quarter of what the complete Bible would need at the same size, which is what makes large-print NT printing practical at home.
150% gives approximately 14-15 point type, which matches most published large-print editions. Go to 160-170% if the reader has significant vision loss, or stay at 130% if you want to save paper and only need mild enlargement.

Yes. The text is the unaltered 1611 Authorized Version. Enlarging the print does not change a single word, verse number, or chapter division.
It is one of the most common uses. The KJV is public domain, so you may print and distribute unlimited copies at no cost and with no permission required. Check the facility's rules first — many require softbound or comb-bound materials rather than ring binders.

The Gospel of John. It was written explicitly so that readers 'might believe that Jesus is the Christ' (John 20:31), assumes less Jewish background than Matthew, and is only 21 chapters — under 60 sheets even at large print.
