Print a stack for the month
Print 30 copies at the start of each month. Keep them in a folder or three-ring binder beside your Bible.

S — Write the verse
Pick one verse or short passage from your daily reading. Write it out word-for-word in the Scripture section. The act of writing is itself meditation.

O — Observe
What stands out? Who is speaking, to whom, about what? What is repeated? What word or image surprises you? Write 2–4 sentences.

A — Apply
Where in my life — work, family, words, thoughts, fears — does this passage call for change or comfort? Be specific. Avoid generalities.

P — Pray
Write a short prayer responding to the passage. Thank God for what He showed you. Confess where you fall short. Ask for the help you need to live it out.

Re-read at week's end
On Sunday, flip back through the week's pages. You will start to see patterns God is highlighting in your life.

Is the SOAP method specific to one denomination?
No — SOAP is used across denominations and traditions. It's a method, not a doctrine.
What translation should I use?
Any translation works, but our printables are designed around the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain.
What paper size is the PDF?
Standard US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). It also prints cleanly on A4 — choose 'Fit to printable area' in your printer dialog.
What printer settings should I use?
Print at 100% scale, portrait orientation, on standard 20–24 lb white paper. Black-and-white printing works perfectly — the template was designed to be ink-friendly.
Can I print double-sided to save paper?
Yes — the template prints well duplex (two-sided). Use 'Print on both sides — flip on long edge' so the layout reads correctly when bound or stapled.
How long does one SOAP entry take?
Most believers complete a SOAP entry in 15–25 minutes. It is the perfect length for a daily quiet time.
Can I use this with a small group?
Yes — many small groups assign SOAP entries during the week and discuss them when they meet. The structure makes group discussion much easier.
Do I have to do this every day?
No. Many people SOAP three times a week or only on Sundays after church. The method is the same; the rhythm is yours.
