Satan Bound a Thousand Years (Revelation 20)
Revelation 20 — an angel binds Satan in the bottomless pit a thousand years, then he is loosed for a season before his final defeat.
Revelation 20:1-3 describes an angel descending from heaven 'having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.' He lays hold of the dragon and binds him a thousand years. Satan can no longer deceive the nations during that time. After the thousand years, he is loosed for a little season, gathers a final rebellion, and is cast forever into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:7-10).
