Antichrist and the Beast
John warns of many antichrists already at work, and Revelation 13 unveils the coming beast empowered by the dragon.
John writes that 'even now are there many antichrists' (1 John 2:18) — a spirit denying the Father and the Son. Revelation 13 unveils a future climactic figure: a beast rising from the sea, given power by the dragon, demanding worship, and marking those who follow him. He is overcome by the Lamb (Revelation 17:14).

Why It Matters
Antichrist is both a spirit at work now and a person who will appear at the end. The same Christ who exposes every counterfeit will return to destroy the final one.

Test the spirits (1 John 4:1). Hold fast the confession that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Don't be alarmed by world events — be anchored in the Lamb who has already won.
