What does the Bible say about renewing the mind?

Transformation begins in the mind. Paul's call to 'be transformed by the renewing of your mind' is one of the most practical commands in Scripture. Key King James Version passages include Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:23-24, Philippians 4:8. This page collects 10 KJV verses about renewing the mind, each quoted in full.

What does renewing the mind mean?

It means replacing worldly thought patterns with God's truth through consistent exposure to Scripture, prayer, and the Holy Spirit's work. It is the process by which our thinking is transformed to align with God's will (Romans 12:2).

How long does it take to renew the mind?

Mind renewal is a lifelong process, not a one-time event. It requires daily discipline — reading Scripture, meditating on truth, and actively rejecting lies. Progress is gradual but real (2 Corinthians 3:18).
