Why should Christians pray for nations?

Because God commands it (1 Timothy 2:1-2), because He has authority over all nations, and because prayer can bring healing, revival, and peace to entire countries (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Can prayer really change a nation?

Throughout history, prayer has preceded every great spiritual awakening. Daniel's prayers influenced the fall of Babylon. Prayer movements have preceded revivals in many nations. God responds to the intercession of His people.
