What does the Bible say about grace of god?

Grace is the unmerited favor of God—a gift we cannot earn, do not deserve, and could never repay. It is the heartbeat of the gospel: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Key King James Version passages include Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 12:9. This page collects 10 KJV verses about grace of god, each quoted in full.

What is grace in the Bible?

Grace (Greek: charis) is God's unmerited favor—His gift of salvation, blessing, and empowerment that we receive not because of our merit but because of His love. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes clear that salvation is 'by grace through faith' and 'not of works.'

What is the difference between grace and mercy?

Grace is receiving what we don't deserve (favor, blessing, salvation). Mercy is not receiving what we do deserve (punishment, condemnation). Both flow from God's love: mercy withholds judgment while grace bestows blessing.
