What does the Bible say about god's mercy and grace?

Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we don't deserve. Key King James Version passages include Ephesians 2:4-5, Lamentations 3:22-23, Titus 3:5. This page collects 10 KJV verses about god's mercy and grace, each quoted in full.

What is the difference between mercy and grace?

Mercy is God not giving us the punishment we deserve. Grace is God giving us blessings we don't deserve. Both are demonstrated at the cross — Christ bore our punishment (mercy) so we could receive eternal life (grace).

Does God's mercy have limits?

Psalm 136 repeats 'his mercy endureth for ever' 26 times. While God's justice is real, His mercy is inexhaustible for those who seek Him. Lamentations 3:22 says His mercies 'are new every morning.'
