What does the Bible say about asking god for help?

God invites us to ask for His help — not because He is unaware of our needs, but because asking demonstrates trust and dependence. Scripture is filled with men and women who cried out to God and received His aid. Key King James Version passages include Psalm 46:1, Psalm 121:1-2, Matthew 7:7. This page collects 10 KJV verses about asking god for help, each quoted in full.

Does God really want me to ask for help?

Yes. Matthew 7:7 is a direct invitation: ask, seek, knock. God delights in answering the prayers of His children and providing for their needs.

Why doesn't God always answer immediately?

God's timing is perfect even when it doesn't align with ours. Sometimes He delays to strengthen our faith, to accomplish a greater purpose, or because His answer is different from what we expected.
