    Second Chronicles 20 tells the dramatic story of King Jehoshaphat facing a massive invasion by Moab, Ammon, and Mount Seir. Rather than mustering an army, Jehoshaphat calls a national fast and prays one of the Bible's most honest prayers: 'We have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.'

    God responds through the prophet Jahaziel: 'The battle is not yours, but God's… Ye shall not need to fight in this battle.' Jehoshaphat sends the worship team ahead of the army, and as they sing, God sets ambushments among the enemies, who destroy each other. Israel arrives to find only corpses and plunder. The Valley of Berachah ('blessing') is named for the three days it takes to gather the spoil.
