The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah
The LORD rains fire and brimstone from heaven upon the cities of the plain, sparing only Lot.
The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah was very great, and their sin was very grievous. The LORD sent two angels to Lot, who pleaded with his sons-in-law to flee. At sunrise, as Lot reached Zoar, the LORD rained brimstone and fire upon the cities and overthrew the plain. Lot's wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.
