One of the most remarkable truths in Scripture is that through faith in Jesus Christ, believers are adopted into God's family as His own children. This identity transforms everything — how we see ourselves, how we relate to God, and how we face the world. Key King James Version passages include John 1:12, 1 John 3:1, Romans 8:16-17. This page collects 10 KJV verses about children of god, each quoted in full.

What does it mean to be a child of God?

Being a child of God means being adopted into God's family through faith in Jesus Christ (John 1:12). It means having God as your Father, being an heir of His promises, and having the Holy Spirit as confirmation of your identity.

Are all people children of God?

While all people are God's creation, the Bible uses 'children of God' specifically for those who have received Jesus Christ by faith (John 1:12, Galatians 3:26). It is a relational term describing spiritual adoption.
