The Battle of Armageddon
The kings of the earth gathered against the Lord at His coming.
Revelation foretells unclean spirits gathering the kings of the whole world to the battle of the great day of God Almighty, to a place called Armageddon. There the returning King strikes the nations and treads the winepress of God's wrath.
The Prophecy
"...spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty...And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."
"And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army..."
"For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle...Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations..."
The gathering of the kings
Armageddon is not a slow drift but a deliberate gathering of the world's powers, deceived by unclean spirits, to make war against the Lamb.
The Rider on the white horse
Christ returns in glory, sword proceeding from His mouth, and the armies of the beast are destroyed — Revelation 19's climax of human rebellion.
