    Pentecost Bible Questions Parents Ask

    What is Pentecost for kids?

Pentecost is the day, fifty days after Easter, when God sent the Holy Spirit to Jesus’ followers. There was a sound like rushing wind, flames appeared over their heads, and they told the good news in languages they had never learned (Acts 2).

How do I explain the Holy Spirit to a child?

Call Him the Helper Jesus promised: God with us, inside us, giving us courage to obey and love. John 14:26 is a good verse to read together.

    What craft goes with Pentecost?

Paper-flame crowns are the classic: cut red, orange and yellow flames, staple them to a headband strip, and read Acts 2:3 while the children wear them.

Where is Pentecost in the Bible?

Acts 2, with the promise given in Acts 1:4–8 and John 14–16.

    What Bible translation is used?

All verses are from the public-domain King James Version (KJV).
