Bible Lessons by Age
The same Bible, taught three different ways. Pick your child's age band for a lesson plan that fits their attention span, the stories that land best, short King James memory verses, and the printables, quizzes and reading plans that match.
Ages 3–5
For 3 to 5 year olds, keep Bible time to about ten minutes: one short story told in your own words from the King James text, one five-word memory verse, and something to colour or act out. Repetition matters far more than variety at this age — the same six stories over a term will stick.

Six to eight year olds can read short passages themselves, so Bible time can stretch to about fifteen minutes: they read a few verses of the King James text aloud, you talk through what happened, and they finish with a quiz, puzzle or reading-chart tick. This is the age where a daily plan starts to work.

Nine to twelve year olds are ready for real Bible study rather than story time: about twenty minutes of reading a passage in context, asking honest questions, and doing some of it independently. At this age the biggest risk is not boredom — it is unanswered questions, so treat their hard questions as the lesson.
