How to Share the Gospel?

The gospel, at its simplest, is the message Paul delivered in 1 Corinthians 15:3–4: "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day." Sharing it does not require a theological degree; it requires a willing heart and a clear testimony. 1 Peter 3:15 tells believers to "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear." Preparation is essential — know your own story of conversion, understand the basic outline of salvation, and practise explaining it simply. Yet the verse also stresses attitude: meekness and reverence, not arrogance or argument. Acts 1:8 promises the Holy Spirit's power for witness: "Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me." Witnessing is not a solo performance; it is Spirit-empowered proclamation. Colossians 4:6 adds practical wisdom: "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." The gospel shared graciously, with both truth and tact, opens doors that force never could. Finally, the life behind the words matters. Titus 2:7–8 urges believers to show "uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech." A life that contradicts the message undermines it; a life that embodies it gives it credibility.
