Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead?

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. Paul wrote that 'if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain' (1 Corinthians 15:14). The biblical evidence is substantial: the tomb was found empty by multiple witnesses (Luke 24:1-3), Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene, the disciples, over 500 people at once, and finally to Paul himself (1 Corinthians 15:5-8). The disciples, who had fled in fear at the crucifixion, were transformed into bold preachers willing to die for their testimony. The early church exploded in growth in the very city where Jesus was crucified — something inexplicable if His body remained in the tomb. The Roman guards and Jewish leaders never produced the body to disprove the resurrection claims. The resurrection validated everything Jesus taught, confirmed His deity, and secured the hope of eternal life for all believers. As Paul declared, 'But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept' (1 Corinthians 15:20).
