The Biblical Context
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. Paul wrote that 'if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain' (1 Corinthians 15:14). The Roman guards and Jewish leaders never produced the body to disprove the resurrection claims. The resurrection validated everything Jesus taught, confirmed His deity, and secured the hope of eternal life for all believers. As Paul declared, 'But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept' (1 Corinthians 15:20).
