The Plain Meaning

Word Study
'Ezri' means my help—from 'ezer' (help, aid, support). This is the same word used for Eve as Adam's 'helper' (ezer, Genesis 2:18) and for God as Israel's help throughout the Psalms. It describes vital, life-sustaining assistance from one who is perfectly capable.
