30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Kids: Bible Heroes

This free 30-day plan takes children through thirty of the best-known people in the Old Testament — Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Ruth, David, Daniel, Esther and more — one short King James passage per day with a sentence-long takeaway and a printable sticker chart.

It works as a family devotion, a Sunday-school challenge or a homeschool unit. Read the passage, talk about the takeaway for a minute, then mark the chart.

    How to make it stick

    • •Pair each day with the matching illustrated story or coloring page on the site.
    • •Ask one question after every reading: what did this person trust God for?
    • •For a class, print one chart per child and one large chart for the wall.

    Questions parents ask

Do we need to read the whole chapter?

No. Each day lists a short passage of roughly five to fifteen verses, chosen so the story stands on its own.

Can I use this in Sunday school?

Yes. Print one chart per child, hand out stickers each week, and use the takeaway line as the lesson's big idea.

What comes after the thirty days?

Move on to the 30-day life of Jesus plan, which follows the same format in the New Testament.
