Bible Lessons for 6, 7 and 8 Year Olds
Six to eight year olds can read short passages themselves, so Bible time can stretch to about fifteen minutes: they read a few verses of the King James text aloud, you talk through what happened, and they finish with a quiz, puzzle or reading-chart tick. This is the age where a daily plan starts to work.
What ages 6–8 can handle

Tips that actually help
- Let them read aloud even when it is slow — reading the words themselves changes ownership.
- Explain 'thee', 'thou' and 'hath' once, then stop apologising for the KJV.
- Use the sticker chart. At this age a visible streak is genuine motivation.
- End on the activity, not the talking.
