Perhaps the most beloved chapter in the Bible, Psalm 23 unfolds God's complete care. 'The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want' (v.1) — God provides everything needed. 'He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters' (v.2) — He provides rest and refreshment. 'He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake' (v.3) — He heals and guides for His glory. 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me' (v.4) — His presence removes fear even in death. 'Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies' (v.5) — He provides abundantly even amid opposition.
