Joshua 15 and Judges 1 record Caleb's daughter Achsah, given to Othniel for taking Kirjath-sepher. She asked her father a blessing — and received the upper and nether springs.
Her Story
Caleb promised his daughter to whoever took Kirjath-sepher. Othniel his nephew took it and received Achsah to wife. As she rode in, she lighted off her ass, and Caleb asked, 'What wouldest thou?' She answered, 'Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water.' And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.
