Where This Verse Sits
John 14:6 appears in John chapter 14, verse 6. Jesus spoke these words in the Upper Room on the night before His crucifixion, around AD 33. Thomas had asked, 'Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?' Jesus' response was the sixth of His seven 'I AM' statements in John's Gospel, each echoing God's self-revelation to Moses at the burning bush.
