    Daniel 6 tells the beloved story of Daniel in the lions' den. The aging prophet's political rivals, unable to find any fault in his conduct, manipulate King Darius into signing a decree forbidding prayer to anyone except the king for thirty days. Daniel, knowing the decree, continues his practice of praying three times daily with his windows open toward Jerusalem.
