Answer: Bread

What did the manna look like?
Answer: A small round thing, white, like coriander seed
Study note. It was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

How much manna was each person to gather?
Answer: One omer per person
Study note. This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man.

What happened to manna left until the morning?
Answer: It spoiled and bred worms
Study note. It bred worms, and stank.
Lesson 6 · Exodus 16:22 (KJV)
How much extra could be gathered on the sixth day?
Answer: Twice as much
Study note. On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread.
Lesson 7 · Exodus 16:23 (KJV)
Why did the extra on the sixth day not spoil?
Answer: Both — it was the Sabbath portion
Study note. It did not stink, neither was there any worm therein… for to morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD.

What did Israel call the bread?
Answer: Manna
Study note. The house of Israel called the name thereof Manna.

What did God send in the evening alongside the manna?
Answer: Quails
Study note. At even the quails came up, and covered the camp.
Lesson 10 · Exodus 16:35 (KJV)
How long did Israel eat manna?
Answer: Forty years, until they came to the borders of Canaan
Study note. The children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited.
