What "What is the Second Coming of Christ?" Actually Means
The Second Coming is one of the most anticipated events in Christian theology. Jesus promised to return, and angels at His ascension confirmed it. Unlike His first coming in humility, Christ will return in power and great glory, visible to all. He will judge the nations, defeat evil, raise the dead, and establish His kingdom. Christians differ on the timing and sequence of events (pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, or post-tribulation rapture; premillennial or amillennial kingdom), but all historic Christian traditions affirm that Jesus will personally, visibly, and bodily return.
