He lived the sinless life we could not live and died the death we deserved. His atonement propitiated God's wrath, reconciled God and man, redeemed captives from sin, and justified the ungodly. Through faith in Christ, sinners are forgiven, regenerated, and adopted as God's children. Hamartiology leads to humility — recognizing the depth of our own sin.
