What "What Does the Bible Say About Heaven?" Actually Means
The Bible describes heaven as the throne room of God (Isaiah 6:1), a place of indescribable beauty and joy. Jesus said He went to prepare a place for believers (John 14:2-3). Revelation 21-22 describes the New Jerusalem with streets of gold, gates of pearl, and the river of life. Most importantly, heaven is defined by God's presence—believers will see Him face to face (Revelation 22:4). There will be no more death, pain, or tears (Revelation 21:4). Heaven is a place of worship, fellowship, and meaningful activity—not floating on clouds. Paul said being with Christ is 'far better' than earthly life (Philippians 1:23). Heaven is not earned but received as a gift through faith in Jesus Christ.
