When the Sadducees tested Jesus with a question about a woman married to seven brothers, He replied: 'In the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven' (Matthew 22:30). Marriage on earth serves as a picture of Christ's relationship with the church (Ephesians 5:32)—in heaven, we'll experience the reality the picture pointed to.
