What "Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead?" Actually Means
The resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of Christianity (1 Corinthians 15:14). The evidence includes: the empty tomb that even opponents couldn't deny; over 500 eyewitnesses (1 Corinthians 15:6); the transformation of fearful disciples into bold martyrs; the conversion of skeptics like James and Paul; the emergence of the Christian church; and the willingness of eyewitnesses to die for their testimony. People die for things they believe to be true, but the apostles would have known whether the resurrection was real—and they all chose death rather than recant. No naturalistic explanation adequately accounts for all the evidence. The resurrection confirms Jesus' deity, validates His teachings, and guarantees believers' future resurrection.
