About this printable

When someone we love is sick, we run out of words long before we run out of love. This printable hands you the words God has already given. Why this printable matters

Sickness silences us. We sit beside a hospital bed and discover that all our usual words sound thin. The Bible knows this — which is why God commands his people not to invent new words but to remember old ones: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly" (Colossians 3:16). These verses are the words the Holy Spirit has been speaking over the sick for three thousand years. They are the verses Hezekiah quoted on his sickbed (Isaiah 38), the verses Jesus fulfilled when he laid hands on every sick person brought to him (Luke 4:40), the verses James commands us to pray over the suffering (James 5:14-15). 65–110 lb white cardstock at 100% scale, US Letter, portrait. Standard paper works in a pinch but the cards will be flimsier.

8 cards per page. A paper cutter gives the cleanest edge; scissors work fine for smaller batches.

When you visit, hold their hand and read one verse aloud. Don't comment on it. Just let the Word do its work.

Does the Bible promise physical healing for everyone who prays?

The Bible promises God hears every prayer of his children (1 John 5:14) and that ultimate healing comes in the resurrection (Revelation 21:4). Many are healed physically in this life; all who trust Christ are healed eternally. Pray with bold faith, and trust God's wisdom in the answer.
