About this printable

Scripture writing slows the mind enough to actually meet the verse. You read it, then you copy it, then you read it again — the same passage, three times, with a pen in your hand. By the end of the month you have not just read 30 passages; you have prayed them, breathed them, written them into your soul. This plan walks through 30 short KJV passages — Psalms, prophets, gospels, and promises — one for each day of the month. Print one sheet, paste it inside your journal, and check off each day as you go. Five minutes a day. Thirty days. A different relationship with the Word.

Why this printable matters

There is a reason monks copied scripture by hand for a thousand years. The pen forces the mind to slow. You cannot skim a verse you are writing. You cannot multitask while you copy. How to use this printable

Pick a dedicated notebook
A small hardcover notebook works best. Don't use loose paper — you want to be able to flip back through the whole month at the end.

Print and paste the plan inside the cover
US Letter sheet folded in half fits inside most notebooks. Paste with a glue stick so it stays put for 30 days.

Write the date and reference at the top each day
This becomes a journal of how God walked you through the month. Future-you will treasure the record.

Copy every word
Don't paraphrase, don't abbreviate. Slowness is the point. Five minutes for a short Psalm, ten for a longer passage.

Write one response sentence
After the passage, write: 'What is God saying to me here?' One honest sentence is worth more than a paragraph of forced reflection.

Check the box and date the entry
If you miss a day, just continue the next day — do not restart. Habit, not perfection, is the goal.

Is this scripture writing plan really free?

What translation is used?

All 30 passages reference the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain. You can substitute another translation if you prefer.

How long does each day take?

Five to ten minutes for most passages. The longer chapters (1 Corinthians 13, Romans 8, John 1) take fifteen. Plan for ten minutes daily as a baseline.

What paper size is the PDF?

Standard US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). It also prints cleanly on A4 — choose 'Fit to printable area' in your printer dialog.

What if I miss a day?

Just continue the next day. Do not restart. The goal is 30 passages written in roughly 30 days — not perfection. Most people take 35–40 days to finish, and that's perfectly fine.

What kind of notebook should I use?

A small hardcover notebook (5 × 8 in is ideal) so you can carry it. Lined paper works better than blank for most people. Pick one with paper thick enough that ink does not bleed through.

Can I do this with my children?

Yes — kids 8 and up can copy short passages with you. Use a simpler translation for very young children, and let them illustrate the verse alongside their writing.
