What is the Abrahamic Covenant — Meaning Explained

In Genesis 12, 15, and 17, God established a covenant with Abraham containing three core promises: a great nation would come from him, he would be given the land of Canaan, and through his seed all the families of the earth would be blessed. This covenant was unconditional — God alone passed between the divided animals in the ratification ceremony, signifying He would fulfill it regardless of human faithfulness. The national promise was fulfilled through Israel, the land promise through the conquest under Joshua, and the blessing promise through Jesus Christ, Abraham's ultimate descendant.
