What "How Can I Know the Will of God?" Actually Means
Romans 12:2 says, 'Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.' God's moral will is clearly revealed in Scripture — it's always God's will that we avoid sin, love others, and pursue holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:3). For specific decisions, Proverbs 3:5-6 promises, 'Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.'
