Scripture is clear about astrology. Isaiah 47:13-14 mocks Babylon's astrologers: 'Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee... they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame.' Deuteronomy 18:10-12 forbids 'observing times' (a reference to astrological practices) as an abomination. Jeremiah 10:2 warns, 'Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven.' While God created the stars for signs and seasons (Genesis 1:14), their purpose is to declare God's glory (Psalm 19:1), not to determine human destiny. The wise men followed a star to find Jesus, but the star led them to worship Christ, not to practice astrology. Seeking guidance from stars rather than from God is a form of idolatry that replaces the Creator with His creation.
