While the Bible doesn't specifically address pets in heaven, it describes animals in the new creation and affirms God's care for all His creatures.
"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." — Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)
The Biblical Context
This is a question close to many hearts. Scripture provides encouraging hints though not definitive answers about specific pets. Isaiah describes the peaceable kingdom where 'the wolf shall dwell with the lamb' (Isaiah 11:6) and 'the lion shall eat straw like the ox' (Isaiah 65:25). Revelation shows Christ returning on a white horse (Revelation 19:11). God created animals, called them good, and made a covenant with them after the flood (Genesis 9:10). He cares for every sparrow (Matthew 10:29). Since the new creation restores Eden—which was filled with animals—many theologians believe animals will be present. Whether specific pets are there, we trust in a God who is infinitely loving and good. C.S. Lewis speculated that pets might share in their owners' resurrection. What we know for certain is that heaven will lack nothing good.
Where It Sits in Scripture
The core passage for this question, Isaiah 11:6, sits inside Isaiah 11. To grasp the full meaning, read the surrounding paragraph — the verses before set up the thought, the verses after carry it forward.
"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them."
Supporting Passages
"Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."
"And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."
